Oakwood Academy Charter is a small, community-based school, located in southern Brevard county. It is very much like our sister school, Royal Palm Charter School, which serves Kindergarten through Third grade.
However, unlike Royal Palm, it focuses only on fourth through sixth grades.
- It is gated and requires a code to enter
- Our parents are encouraged to volunteer a minimum of ten hours a year
- It has a low student/teacher ratio
- It offers a diverse curriculum that is developed to serve the above average and gifted student
- It integrates the components of the Florida Sunshine State Standards with the Core Knowledge Curriculum using the Baltimore Curriculum Project
At Oakwood Academy, our teachers, supporting staff and parents are dedicated to working together to serving and supporting the educational process and individual personal growth of each student.
